Installation
Our systems are installed exclusively by well trained and suitably equipped franchise installation teams, which leaves nothing to chance. We guarantee our systems and provide a ten year warranty on the installation.
VersatileThe system can be installed under any floor surface. Because of it's unique features, the element is installed very close to the floor surface, which speeds up response times. The floor temperature increases typically by 5-8 degrees in the 1st hour! This is only possible because the element is approx 1mm thick!
Insulation & Screeding On solid floors, the element is usually laid on insulating material, limiting any heat loss to the base. The cable is tested (prior to a self-leveling latex screed and polyester mat being applied to secure the element in the floor). This provides a level base for the final floor covering to be laid.
Damage monitoringWhilst awaiting the final floor covering, monitor boxes are installed to ensure the cable is not damaged prior to final connection.
This provides both the customer and floor layer with a level of comfort in the knowledge that should accidents occur, it can be corrected prior to completion of the floor covering.
 Screeded heater installation
After the floor has been primed, the screeded heater is stuck to the floor with double sided tape in the required configuration. Afterwards, the heater is covered with a thin layer of a self-leveling latex screed (2-3 mm thick). This screed serves to protect the heating element from possible damage by the floor layer.
Carpet heater installation
Carpet heating is supplied as pre-formed mats, similar to electric blankets, a variety of shapes are laid between the underlay and the carpet. It is suitable for retrofit as carpets can be lifted and re-laid.
For installation under fixed carpeting, it is better to let the well equipped Speedheat installation teams take care of it.
There are 14 different size heating panels varying from 250 Watt to 1150 Watt.
