Working in partnership with property owners, designers, flooring specialists and historic building experts, Speedheat electric underfloor heating has been the solution of choice for many listed and traditional buildings.
At just 1.5mm thick, there is no major upheaval or build up of floor height. It is straightforward to install and once in, electric underfloor heating is completely invisible.
Visitors to Durlston Castle will never feel a chill as they take in the spectacular views of Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.
An electric underfloor heating installation from Speedheat was chosen to overcome restrictions on increasing the floor height in the Belvedere viewing room and two cloakrooms during the £5.5 million restoration of the Victorian Grade 2 listed building, now the Gateway Centre for the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
Because the Speedheat electric underfloor heating system is only 1.5mm deep, overlaid with a thin latex screed and the final floor covering, there was no noticeable increase in floor height. Speedheat engineers installed the system and screed in just two days.
