Floor Heating Under Laminate Flooring
Speedheat electric floor heating heats your laminate floor safely, evenly and economically.
All Speedheat laminate installations include a floor probe for floor temperature limitation. The floor surface is limited to the maximum allowable temperature of 27 degrees in accordance with the Wood and Laminate Flooring Association’s specifications. This ensures that laminate flooring preserves and maintains its aesthetic appearance without buckling or warping.

The Floor Build Up
The under laminate heaters are sandwiched between a high quality PET reinforced aluminium foil carrier.
The bottom layer is specially designed for even heat distribution and downward heat flow reduction, the top layer is designed to promote radiation, resulting in your laminated floor being heated evenly and effectively.
This is a dry application where the heating element is placed just underneath the wood/laminate flooring on top of a foam underlay. Insulation may be used on top of the screed or sub floor to further decrease downward heat loss and increase the performance of your heating system.
Certain materials should preferably be avoided as sub-floors, due to numerous reasons. There is one crucial thing that applies to the fitting of all flooring types, before installation, remember to clean the sub-floor carefully, make it flat and ensure that it’s dry. If you overlook this, you may have floor failure. Care should be taken to allow for expansion and contraction of the sub-floor and the floor covering.
ECONOMICAL HEATING
Speedheat underfloor heating systems are installed directly underneath the floor finish, this creates a much quicker response time with reduced energy consumption. Response time is from 30 - 45 minutes, depending on the floor finish and the insulation installed.
